@GwenShmoople @ArianaMontague I mean, yeah. But a gender neutral name means they’re not gendered every time they use their name. That’s pretty huge. I personally got a lot of comfort pretransition from the fact that my name was (technically) gender neutral.

I think there’s nothing wrong with raising a kid as their AGAB until the child tells you otherwise. You should foster a relationship with your child where they aren’t afraid to tell you these things
