With news of a 7.1 #earthquake off the coast of Miyazaki (approx.1128km from Tokyo) on Aug8, we confirm no clients are in the effected area. Our team on the ground are monitoring. Although used to quakes, our thoughts are with #Japan.

@donnyjkimball Agreed. There are not too many tourists, but more, too many people doing the same thing (following others on social media for the same pics etc). InsideJapan sent people to 211 different places across the country last year all offering that special essence that makes Japan unique

It's because so much of the tourism traffic is concentrated in a few select places. If we could better spread the demand across the entire country, there'd be ample room for more travelers without having to battle overtourism.
