We agree that some flavors could be particularly appealing to youth and should not be used, such as those with candy or dessert-like descriptions/flavors. Some flavors, however, are essential to encouraging adult smokers to switch and should be preserved. Responsible sales and marketing is a key priority for PMI.

@business @InsidePMI cool, now work on the flavors being approved nationally. Since the selling point on that was they appealed to children and with the 3 year bump children getting them has diminished.

We hear you, Kordell. And a lot of people relate to that mix of nostalgia, behaviors, and stress. While the best choice is to stop cigarette and nicotine use completely, what’s changed since the 2000s is that there are now alternatives for people who would otherwise continue smoking, especially options that avoid burning tobacco, which is where most of the harmful chemicals come from. They’re not risk‑free and contain nicotine which is addictive, but for those who don’t quit, they can be a better alternative compared to continuing with cigarettes. At the end of the day, it’s about having options and being able to choose what works best for you.
