#Elks begin training camp on Sunday at Clarke Stadium and there will be a few battles to watch. O-line: David Beard and Mark Korte for the starting centre spot. The loser of that battle will likely be the 6th o-lineman. Also, I expect competition at the tackle spots with Brenden Border, Jordan Murray, and Brett Boyko. REC: Very set group, might be only one American spot open. I expect O.J. Hiliare and Binjimen Victor to compete for a spot. D-line: Malik Carney and Robbie Smith are the starters at edge. Behind them are Brandon Barlow and Noah Taylor, both had good seasons in 2025. In the interior, Jared Brinkman is a lock. The battle among Canadians with Noah Curtis returning from injury and Darien Newell coming off a year suspension will battle for a starting spot. Middle LB: Brock Mogensen I expect will be at the top of depth chart at MLB, Nick Anderson will compete for that spot coming of a disappointing season where he played on 7 games. 2025 humbled Anderson after winning M.O.R. in 2024. Secondary: Jaylin Williams started only one game last season at short-half vs. Hamilton. It was an adventure, he was beaten on some plays and made some really good plays as well. He's still here and he will push for a half back spot, likely Kobe Williams spot or perhaps at SAM LB. Buckle up! #CFL
