NYC public High School admissions: On your application, rank your 12 high schools in TRUE preference order. Don't try to second-guess the system! Even if your favorite is a long-shot, put it first! #NYChighschools @NYCHSAdmissions

NYC public HS admissions! The City is giving you the option of selecting MORE than 12 programs this year! But, apply to 12 schools, at least, because it gives you 95% chance of getting a school on your application. #NYChighschools @NYCHSAdmissions

Re: Lottery #'s for #NYCPublicHighSchool admissions: It's a long string of digits & basically serves as a tie breaker. The strongest #'s start with low numbers 0, 1, 2, 3 -- but there are ways to work with poor lottery numbers, says @NYCHSAdmissions

NYC public HS admissions! Webinar in action! The city has different high school admissions methods: Screened, Open, Audition, Zoned, Language Criteria, Test, & Ed. Opt, which admit students with a range of academic ability. #NYCHighSchools @NYCHSAdmissions

Students with an IEP might qualify for the Students With Disabilities applicant pool. Also, some schools have Diversity in Admissions 👉 this means they set aside a % of their seats for a particular category, such as low-income families. #NYChighschool @NYCHSAdmissions
