Last week students from @TDSS_YRDSB had the chance to try out the sport of road tennis. In addition to trying out the game, students engaged in learning about the history of the game as well as its cultural significance in Barbados, where the sport was created.

Yesterday, students at @AshtonMeadowsPS had the chance to try out the Barbados national sport of road tennis. This sport that originated in Barbados has a long history that students are also learning about as part of a pilot that is taking place at multiple schools in YRDSB.

Sept 30 marks the 3rd annual Nat'l Day for Truth & Reconciliation. A day to honour the children who never returned home & survivors of residential schools, as well as their families & communities. All schools & workplaces will raise the Every Child Matters flag this week.
