@BarrieHatrick It's not just about getting people from North Wales to South Wales along the west coast, it's also about connecting those communities across West Wales to one another and elsewhere by rail

@BarrieHatrick Which is entirely fair, but this is completely the wrong way to look at rail travel. It's about connecting communities to one another, be that for commuting or leisure purposes That's the main issue that a West Wales rail link would solve

Wales isn't a natural administrative unit because *checks notes* it has mountains These melts can't fathom Wales being a country with a national parliament. They still can't accept they lost the election 3 weeks ago
DOGE Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿💰@SeneddWaste

North and South Wales are separated by mountainous terrain. This is why Wales naturally looks from west to east. It’s also the reason Wales is not a natural administrative unit. This explains why the Senedd does not work.

@BarrieHatrick I live and have lived in North Wales my whole life, so I'm acutely familiar with us being ignored by the political class A West Wales rail isn't just about connecting North and South Wales, it's also about local connections for those who live there to elsewhere on the network

@InstaSim6 I live in the politically forgotten North, Welsh first language. South Wales might as well be a different country for all we’ve got in common.

@plaidcymruwatch I'll play whatever games I want to play, thank you very much. Ironic you call me a child when you don't know how to use capital letters properly. You might want to return to school to learn it again because it seems you've forgotten

@plaidcymruwatch The deranged one here is you with your degrading comments about people you don't like. I'm not sure why you feel the need to use random capitalisation mid-sentence every time either, but you really need to pipe down on it. It just makes you look even more like an idiot

@plaidcymruwatch Nobody's opposed to scrutiny, but what you do across multiple accounts on this platform is spread utter bile and lies. That's not scrutiny The BBC isn't in Plaid's pockets either, there have been plenty of people from all parties in various roles at the BBC over the years

@InstaSim6 What you dont seem to understand is that I don’t have anything in common with the people in north wales. I have more in common with people in Bristol and the south west of England than I ever will withthe north. Perhaps you can just separate and leave the rest of us in peace.

@moelfennli And what relevance is that to providing connectivity by rail to communities across West Wales? People living in places like Caernarfon can't even get to Cheshire by rail, let alone Cardiff

In the second half of this post, he very clearly denies that Wales is even a nation. The person who runs this account thinks Wales should be a part of England. They are an English irrendentist who wants to get rid of our self-government and nationhood.

@Ystwyth1558 Pretty much shows that the rail network in the UK is very much centred on London North-South links in England and Scotland get you to London. East-West links in Wales get you to London Interconnectivity is, largely, forgotten about

@SeneddWaste They've been in government for 2 weeks. That's nowhere near long enough to make any kind of reasonable judgement on how their government is functioning You've done nothing but whinge about the election results since they were announced

@SeneddWaste Plaid won nearly 80,000 more votes than Reform did. It wasn't a stitch-up, Reform lost the election Implementing STV in council elections isn't a stitch-up either, it's one of Plaid's manifesto commitments. There's virtually no chance of it happening before next year anyway

Fresh from stitching up the Senedd electoral system to stop Reform, rumours are circulating that Plaid and Labour are planning to rig the system for council elections too. To kill this, it must be called out now.
