@MikeLiamSmith @1swancelona The most likely scenario is Plaid and Reform having some combination of 60-70 seats between them with the rest split across the other parties Some polls have put Plaid as high as 40-45 seats, which if they can achieve they could probably govern quite comfortably on their own

@InstaSim6 @1swancelona Given this particular pressure group is unrepresentative and woeful ( and that the public have moved on) this is going to be a super easy trade out.

@MikeLiamSmith @1swancelona That's not entirely true though, if they have enough seats they could form a minority government making informal arrangements on particular policy areas - this being a prime example They may have something more comprehensive for the budget, but that's a separate issue to solve

@InstaSim6 @1swancelona Because in reality Plaid will only be able to maintain a gov if labour goes into coalition with them or if the two agree a pretty comprehensive confidence deal is agreed.

@MikeLiamSmith @1swancelona Why would they have to rely on Labour votes to get a Covid Inquiry? The Tories, Lib Dems and Greens support holding one too (Reform also possibly, I'm not sure), so there should be plenty of votes to get it through the Senedd without Labour

@1swancelona Going to be so funny when they have to betray the nutters again when they have to rely on Labour votes to get anything done.

@InstaSim6 @CovidBereaved If it's not a backtrack then A) why did she say the words she said to BBC which have been quoted verbatim. B) why haven't they asked BBC to correct? I think their response would be "the headline directly quotes the words you said".

Last night @Heledd_Plaid @Plaid_Cymru @mabonapgwynfor have confirmed that we will be having a Wales Covid Inquiry. It’s not going to be as wide in scope as the @covidinquiryuk and it doesn’t need to be - just devolved issues. As long as it has statutory powers and focuses on the issues we have raised - we’ll be happy. Wales needs this 💛@as_penarth @DarrenMillarMS @WelshLibDems bbc.co.uk/news/articles/@GarethLewis77

I've lived here long enough to know that these projects will be the first to be shelved and we'll be back to square one The only way Wales can get guaranteed funding is through the full devolution of rail infrastructure. Whoever wins the Senedd election needs to fight for this

It's not necessarily the timescale of delivery that's the issue here, it's whether these will receive any budget allocations at future spending reviews. The Labour Government may well do so, and I support that, but what happens if another party inevitably wins an election

TfW's "Today, Tomorrow, Together" report is an excellent list of projects that absolutely need to be delivered, and I welcome that What I don't welcome is Labour's insistence that these are committed projects that will be delivered

So let's get this right, Westminster have £14 billion set aside for Wales but only if @WelshLabour form the next @WelshGovernment, forgive me for not seeing this as blatant electioneering. I wonder if @PrifWeinidog or @RachelReevesMP like to enlighten the people of Wales what will the £14 billion be used for if not Rail infrastructure in Wales. Also to clarify the £14 billion is the total if a wishlist that has not been costed by constructiin companies. And is all subject to the next three Comprehensive Spending Reviews- so despite EM ascertain it is sitting in the Treasury ready to be handed over it isn't.. @LlyrGruffydd @RhunapIorwerth @DarrenMillarMS Senedd row over £14bn rail plan as opposition parties call it a pre-election stunt wrexham.com/news/senedd-ro…

@SeneddWaste The 2026-27 Health Budget is worth £12.6bn in Revenue Spending Education is worth £1.9bn The extra Senedd Members and Senedd reforms costs £12m per year Do you see how insignificant that really is when you put it into context?

DOGE Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿💰
There are so many things the £100 million plus that's being spent to fund more Senedd members could go on. The health service and schools are just a couple. But Plaid don't care. More Senedd members comes before else. Remember that.

🚨PLAID SAYS SENEDD WAS ALWAYS TOO SMALL🚨 Putting more politicians in the Senedd was Plaid's aim from the moment the place opened. Carrie Harper says it was "always too small", leading us to conclude that 96 won't be enough either. They'll just keep on adding more and more.

@SeneddWaste Does it matter if they hire proportionately more Welsh speakers? About half of BBC Wales' output is in Welsh, so they obviously need a decent talent bank of Welsh speakers there

Do BBC Wales publish the percentage of their staff who are Welsh speakers? If not, they should be forced to do so. We bet they proportionately employ far more Welsh speakers than the Welsh population at large, over 80% of whom do not speak the language.

@1swancelona The thing is you expect it in those settings, and it comes across in the way it's spoken. It also normally only extends to mocking the people in the room, and they may get a chance to rebut Importantly, those things are normally private affairs, not public videos

@InstaSim6 You're also totally missing the part of the story that everyone else is. Whoever asked him to do it, also thought it was funny. How do you know they weren't a Welsh speaking plaid supporter? You don't. Neither does anyone else.

Genuinely don't think I've ever been less offended than an obvious joke on a cameo video. Of the millions of things you could criticise about him or his party this is properly scraping the barrel
