Before the game released, I had no clue what these machines were. Now that I’m playing the game linearly, I have two theories: 1 - defense systems activating because the Flood is being released. 2 - defense systems for Halo’s control room. @haruspis, a canon fodder perhaps?

I was absolutely psyched when I saw these. There are tons of cylixes in the library now that I'm really happy to see. Shame we never got the cut wildlife from back in the day, but happy this little Easter egg is there.

@haruspis @Installation001 @NakaiCanon Small addendum: The 2009 Encyclopedia also mentioned this. But the reliability of that source is questionable. But it is another source that says shields existed on Mark IV... at "somepoint" as rumors from Ariel.

So I've seen a lotta discussion and discourse on the Mark IV in Halo: Campaign Evolved and how it has shields. First let me lead by saying they are indeed canon and letting my following tweets explain it.

@Alejandr0169 Partially. But Chiefs first suit with energy shielding is still canonically the Mark-V.

Strictly speaking, the Mark-IV shouldn't have energy shields. So if you want a more lore accurate experience, go to gameplay settings and change the damage modifier for energy shields to 0. You can hate me later.

So if it's not our fault, why the need to sarcastically comment faux concern on content creator posts? If you have an issue, take it to the people who can actually fix it. Xbox. It's not in our ability to help you, or anyone else for that matter, get your copy working. We're just gamers and content creators celebrating the launch of a game we're passionate about. How that game launches isn't up to us.

And where exactly did I say it was either of your fault? Nowhere. Read my quote post or have someone and explain it to you. As I clearly stated, Xbox only cares about streamers and YouTubers as your problems were rectified before thousands or even millions of paying Xbox or Xbox app users could launch it.

@Installation001 yessir! xArk_ on reddit :) doesn’t look like there will be any enable customisation from what i’ve seen but this was inspired by some doom eternal talk on the subreddit mixed with that kinda gritty/ edgy customisation halo had in the reach days

@Installation001 this is my concept! idea came from blood on the legs like you were stomping grunts, add some jackal blood for normal, elite spatter on heroic coming down on chief due to their height and obviously hunter blood from punching them like mods/ EU references for legendary
