Reform keeps dropping in the polls because they're not a real political party in the truest sense of the word.
Political parties have to stand for something. They need something to strive for and something to fight against. Parties need a constituency they recognize as their own, and which their voters identify with in turn.
Reform has none of these things. They are actively trying to be all things to all people, not just all over the UK but all over the world.

This is the same disease that killed the Tories before them. Virtually all conservative/populist parties in Anglo countries are totally infected with this Liberalizing tendency to refuse to ever draw a concrete distinction between friend and enemy. They'll accept anyone and everyone. You just have to wear a badge or change your X profile.
They're so utterly terrified of offending anyone, no matter how hypothetical the political subject may be in theory or how alien they are in reality, that they're unwilling to ever declare any political collectivity to be an enemy.
Except "the Far Right" of course.

Of course it is. If you just leave people free to their own devices, they will of course invent markets. If you don’t want markets to emerge or predominate, then you have to make laws that restrict market participation.
This of course doesn’t mean that everything natural is good. You could say the same of murder. It’s just that what leftists have to argue, then, is that ordinary market activity is like violent crime, or something — so bad that it justifies extreme restrictions on people’s behavior.
It’s just not a very good argument!
