Well Stonewall Jackson fought for the wrong cause (ie slavery) although I'm sure that folks will say he fought for State's Rights or something like that, but ultimately he fought to preserve slavery, like it or not. He was a great war time General, this is undisputed, and his loss really hurt the Confederacy. So I have no problem calling him a Great American on that basis.

I love this story. Stonewall Jackson was a great American.

@SeatonEmely Most big companies have entire departments dedicated to trademark and IP management. Additionally, most big companies have departments dedicated to marketing, sales, and merch sales. It's unlikely Erika is personally behind any of these changes.

I’m a girls girl. I’ll take up for every scenario I can think of. Legit can’t think of one to justify going from housewife to CEO tossing her kids to the in-laws the day after my husbands death. Or going over the company he built to try and silently trademark anything with his name on it on my personal account even though I don’t have his children anymore (tossed them to the in-laws) and using my CEO role to delete all footage of him from the company he built on his name so I could reintroduce it under my own trademark. What????? I hope everyone sees how crazy she is. If my husband died I would be plastered to the floor indefinitely. Not taking over his company days later, his name, his trademark, transferring to my name and letting someone else take our kids (without bequest to the trademark of their father?!??). How does anyone not see how crazy this is?? Is she afraid they will make her drop her last name when they figure it all out? This is beyond crazy.

Europeans (and eventually Americans) explored the entire world, mapped and charted every ocean and populated landmass, and then when they got bored in the 19th and 20th centuries decided they might as well go up to the North Pole and down to Antarctica and then up to the highest peak on Earth and down to the deepest depths of the ocean, and when all of that was done they went to space. The greatest indictment of our education system is that most kids will graduate grade school and then college without even the slightest appreciation of this absolutely remarkable story. A story totally unique to western civilization. No other people have ever been as hungry to know and understand the world, and as willing to give up everything, including their lives, in the pursuit.
