@Prosfygika Statement of the International Art Front (I.A.F.) about the latest attacks against the Prosfygika Occupation Community in Athens

•We planned next week’s activities for the “Freedom for Grup Yorum” campaign and prepared statements by discussing current global developments. All artists, unite in the International Art Front!

As members of the International Art Front, we held our first meeting of February. At the meeting held at Grup Yorum House: •We wrote letters to the imprisoned Grup Yorum members.

As the International Art Front we demand freedom for all imprisoned Grup Yorum members! Revolutionary art cannot be prevented! 🚩 #freegrupyorum

At the Grup Yorum House, as part of a campaign started by the International Art Front, a total of five letters were written to the imprisoned Grup Yorum members on Saturday, 31st January.

The event concluded with a highly appreciated 30-minute showcase by Grup Yorum.

At an information table set up in the foyer of the event hall, we presented the work and goals of the International Art Front, collected signatures for our online petition, and recorded solidarity videos with fellow artists and visitors.

Yesterday, we participated in the annual Palestine solidarity event organized by Coordination Resistances in Herstal, Belgium. We took this opportunity to launch our new campaign in support of the 22 currently imprisoned members of Grup Yorum.

As the International Art Front, we opened our political stand at the solidarity event with the Palestinian people. We demand freedom for the imprisoned Grup Yorum members! #freegrupyorum
