Nova-C at scale for NASA's Moon Base Intuitive Machines has secured a firm-fixed-price NASA contract valued at up to $148.3M to deliver a production-line-qualified Nova-C lander to the Moon no later than 2028. IM‑3 just got its “hat”! The lander’s top deck is now installed and full‑vehicle integration begins ahead of hot fire. We’re celebrating by declaring today the official IM‑3 Hat Day. IM‑3’s a Nova‑C class lander and part of Intuitive Machines' space infrastructure service across cislunar space, supporting NASA’s Moon Base, expanding lunar operations, and creating a national asset.

If it moves on the Moon, then it’s Made in Maryland! Governor Wes Moore announced a $1M Build Our Future Grant that helps us expand our space robotics and mechanisms operations in Anne Arundel County and establish a Space Robotics and Mechanisms Center of Excellence. With the success of Artemis and a faster tempo for NASA and commercial missions, demand is growing for the devices we innovate, like rover deployment arms, 360 pan tilt cameras, and precision engine gimbals. Operating from geostationary orbit at 113° West, it stayed focused on the same region of Earth while providing C-band and Ku-band capacity across a wide coverage area.
