I'm usually so fixated on getting all the things done in my limited time. I defer the things I want to do until I've done what I need to do — until I don't have enough time to do what I want since I put off what I need. But I found myself enjoying just sitting here thinking. Massaging my sore shoulder and entertaining myself with my thoughts. Letting my mind wander and solve puzzles I'm facing —passively instead of forcefully. Right now, there's nothing I'd rather be doing instead. I found this rare moment where I don't have my phone calling to me. I usually notice this on holiday. But it's the weekend

@EmailCopyJames I agree — intention seems to change the meaning of behavior so much. A common theme these days

I use my phone a lot. I'm glued to it — in the train station, on the train, on the bus. And I always feel people judging me as another person who can't go two minutes without it. And I used to avoid all the noise on my phone by forcing myself off of it. But now I'm glued to the signal

@signulll I feel like realising this is what the 20s are for. It’s been pretty eye opening realising the authority I’ve been taught and that I’ve place on people isn’t actually very accurate

i try to treat every relationship on equal footing no matter what. boss? friend. investor? friend. wife? friend. rich person? friend. famous vc? friend. in the end, everyone is just a human. no different than you or i, just with different circumstances.

@firstladyships I suppose the silence also leaves a lot for them to interpret too. And everyone interprets through their own beliefs. Like for me, I was considered shy and introverted just because I didn’t talk much. When really I was getting in my own way out of fear of being judged

People adapt to your silence faster than you think. Not the dramatic kind, just the things you stop bringing up because nothing changes anyway. What looks like peace is often just someone getting used to not being heard.

@bluewmist Being yourself is all you need. It’s hard and uncomfortable to practice, but I found that have a small group I can trust to share things with went a long way

we NEED to normalize being in your 20's and having 0 experience with love & relationships. you are not unloveable. you are not ugly. you are not broken. you are not a lost cause. not prioritizing romantic love isn't embarrassing. it is never "too late". take your time.

One thing June taught me is that observing other people’s behavior can teach you a lot about yourself, what you’ll tolerate, what you won’t, and the kind of peace you’re committed to protecting.

@bluewmist Also focus. What helped and still helps me tremendously is to not let my most valuable resources(time and energy) get wasted. Every day choose 2-3 things to do well and lock in until they are done. The main idea here is to not waste your time and energy.

How to rebuild your life in 1-2 months: 1) Pick a vision to build toward 2) Pick a hell to run from from 3) Move 1-3 levers per day to move you closer to your vision, and further from your hell You don't feel motivated to change your life because you don't have a big enough demon to keep changing.

@bluewmist And anything that gets in the way of what you’re building toward becomes a problem to solve. Those tend to be meaningful and so motivating. Like figuring out a chore chart system with your partner to free up the mental energy that’s always spent thinking or fighting about them

@pemilo123 I think everyone benefits from embracing the differences. They have skills that are so valuable — especially when they’re not crammed into a box they don’t fit into

Neurodivergent individuals experience the world uniquely. They might have heightened sensitivity to sounds, lights, or textures, and often think in nonlinear or creative ways. Embracing these differences fosters inclusivity and understanding, allowing everyone to thrive.

The internet changed one thing forever: You no longer need permission to build a reputation. • Not from a title • Not from a degree • Not from a company You can start with one idea and one post to open unlimited opportunities.

Major cheat code for life: Make today lighter for someone else. Hold the door. Give the compliment. Offer the seat. Pick up the tab. Small kindness is never small to the person who receives it. The good life is built by becoming a source of good in the lives around you.

A focused mind can change a weak life. One clear thought is better than ten scattered ones. Work while the noise is still chasing others. Your future is shaped in calm moments. Do the small thing today. Then let repetition turn it into strength.

@Vicky Great idea — incentives seem so important to understand. What are you considering to be symbolic systems?

Symbolic systems don’t just describe reality, they organize perception & therefore reality. And I’ve been thinking… whoever builds the map controls what you can see on the terrain. So the question isn’t whether the symbols work, it’s who benefits when they do?

@stacyzahn True, it doesn’t feel obvious that this is empowerment. Perhaps since it’s a quiet practice as you say

Empowerment is not a moment. It's a practice. It's choosing yourself quietly every single day — in the boundaries you hold, the standards you keep, and the way you refuse to make yourself small for spaces that were never built to hold all of you.
