@owenjonesjourno Politicians are mirrors of their electorate. When a corrupt politician rises to power, the blame lies NOT just with the leader, but with a society that lacks political literacy and moral grounding. A corrupt leader is often the symptom of a distracted and uninformed public.

@owenjonesjourno Decline often stems from an ignorant majority manipulated by corrupt/charlatan politicians. The US under Trump and Britain with Johnson and Farage (#Brexit) serve as stark examples; in both cases, demagoguery turned stable nations into wastelands almost overnight.

This is Adam Hoffman, a 49-year-old Waco, TX attorney.
He faced life without parole for repeatedly raping a young boy. Texas AG Ken Paxton offered him 1 day in jail and no need to register as a sex offender.
A judge increased his sentence to a whopping 60 days. He gets out in June.
He’s not:
- Immigrant
- Trans person
- Black or brown person.
- Muslim
- Asian
He’s a white MAGA person!

🚨 A Waco attorney originally charged with continuous sexual abuse of a young child was released early after serving just 29 days for “good behavior”
Adam Hoffman pleaded guilty to reduced misdemeanor charges and was sentenced to 60 days.
He walked free after less than a month and is not required to register as a sex offender.
This case highlights how serious charges against children can get significantly reduced.

An Iranian source told me the heavy gunfire heard near Bandar Abbas erupted after the IRGC targeted a vessel at sea, followed by U.S. fighter jets striking IRGC naval boats in the Gulf.
According to the source, several IRGC Navy personnel were killed in the attack.
“The situation is still unfolding,” the source said.
