General Mike Flynn's remarks on the war in Iran. #Tehran #Iran #UnitedStates #MiddleEast
General Mike Flynn@GenFlynn

Breaking: WAR in IRAN First, and I believe most important, is for all Americans to steady themselves for a lot of misinformation. This will come from all angles of attack. In war and intelligence reporting we say, first reports are always wrong. That’s a good starting point for us all. War is never in any nation’s interest unless national survival is at stake. In America, the decision to go to war should be a joint decision by the executive and legislative branches of government. There will be untold costs and consequences and our nation must be together on this issue—like it or not, our nation going to war is not the sole prerogative of the executive branch. We should demand that Congress has skin in this “game” just as our President and our military forces have skin in it. For a minute, consider the lost resources spent fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan (trillions of $’s and thousands of lives), never mind Ukraine and Venezuela (we still have a naval armada minding this critical part of the world). We also need to consider what responses might come from China (ie., Taiwan), Russia (use of Nukes), or Turkey (a NATO ally, hopefully they sit this one out), and is our homeland at risk to terrorist counter-strikes? That said, a PROLONGED war is never in America’s interests. However, once war is waged, it is an unleashing of emotions that can easily cause it to be endless. We’ve been told time and again, America can no longer afford endless wars. That is a seriously true statement, we really cannot afford another endless war or conflict. Therefore, we want to see if our Congress will respond with full throated support for our military operations and our troops. We also want them to vote their beliefs whether or not they support these actions. We also want there to be as much transparency as possible from our White House on those clear objectives that describe vital national security interests, precisely how long this war will last and what objectives, once achieved, will allow us to rapidly extract ourselves from this war. We have far too many problems here at home and we cannot afford open ended ventures back in the Middle East on behalf of others. We have to get back to taking care of America First as fast as possible. Pray for our troops and like millions of Americans, we want to be at peace. We also want freedom loving people around the world to know we stand with your fight to achieve freedom and once achieved, we will open the doors of America to fully embrace your desire to live freely and in peace. But also understand achieving freedom takes sacrifice and comes at a cost. Americans understand that, our own American Revolution is a perfect example of sacrifice. For those that don’t understand scale and scope, Iran is four times the size of California with over 90 million people. A few strikes and a few days does not solve all of its problems. The people of America need to understand this while the people of Iran are living it. In war, the best plans provide the most options right up to the last possible minute. I know our military is exceptional and well led. But going to war is also a failure of diplomacy and policy. Remember, Iran also had many chances to come to the table. Let’s pray @realdonaldtrump sits his team down and has solutions for the long haul. I believe he does but the bureaucratic challenges he faces are immense. God bless America and may God keep us safe and secure in the days, weeks and months ahead. Pray for all those in harms way, especially our great military🙏🏼🇺🇸

🚨 UNCONFIRMED: Footage is circulating that allegedly shows Israeli fighter jets downed by Iranian air defence systems over Iraqi airspace. If verified, this would mark a significant development — the loss of advanced combat aircraft in contested regional skies and a potential expansion of the conflict footprint beyond national borders. At this stage, there is no official confirmation from Israeli, Iraqi, or independent defence sources regarding aircraft losses. In fast-moving conflicts, recycled or misattributed footage is common, and verification takes time. But if a jet has been shot down, it would represent a major escalation in both military and political terms. Stand by for confirmation.

The US Army Blackhawk that collided with a passenger plane on Wednesday was on a training flight at the time of the incident, Joint Task Force-National Capitol Region media chief Heather Chairez tells CNN. “We can confirm that the aircraft involved in tonight’s incident was an Army UH-60 helicopter from Bravo Company, 12th Aviation Battalion, out of Davison Army Airfield, Fort Belvoir during a training flight. We are working with local officials and will provide additional information once it becomes available.”

The IDF & ISA thwarted an Iranian attempt to smuggle advanced weapons into the West Bank to arm a number of terrorist groups operating in the territory. The haul consisted of claymores, mortar launchers, mortar shells, RPGs, 107 mm rockets, rifles, sniper rifles, and glocks. The IDF said the 4000th Division, the Special Operations Division of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Intelligence Organization, headed by Jawad Ghafari, and the Special Operations Unit of the Quds Force, in Syrian territory (18840), under the command of Unit 840's leader, Etsar Bakri, was responsible for the smuggling operation.

The video below shows a missile flying out towards the Russian A-50 "Mainstay" airborne early warning and control aircraft. Still awaiting on confirmation on how it was shot down as Ukraine did take credit for it, but Russian accounts stated it was friendly-fire. Too much unknown at this time. If I am not mistaken, only 7 are left. It is possible that gaps of their coverage will start to be exposed.

The IDF says special forces operating at Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza's Khan Younis located vehicles of Hamas terrorists who participated in the October 7 onslaught, as well as Israeli-owned cars stolen during the massacre. The operation at Nasser Hospital is being carried out by the Commando Brigade, Navy's Shayetet 13, Shin Bet agents, and other special forces. One of the stolen cars found at the medical center belonged to a Nir Oz resident, according to the IDF. In the Hamas vehicles, troops found several weapons, including grenades. So far, the IDF says troops have detained hundreds of terror operatives and other suspects who were holed up at the hospital, including many who participated in the October 7 attacks and have links to the hostages held by the terror group. The IDF says troops have battled Hamas gunmen in the area of the hospital, and came under rocket fire from the premises last month. Troops have also seized several firearms, explosive devices, and other military equipment belonging to terror operatives.

Israel has discovered tunnels underneath the main headquarters of #UNRWA, the U.N. agency for Palestinian refugees in Gaza City, which Hamas terrorists used as an electrical supply room. Hamas built the server farm, complete with an electrical room and living quarters for its IT staff, directly below the UN agency’s complex in Gaza City to ensure Israel would never target it. @UNLazzarini you chose to ignore the facts so you can later try and deny them. washingtonpost.com/world/2024/02/…

Just now: Fox's @TreyYingst's live shot location near a kindergarten in southern Israel was hit with a rocket fired from Gaza. Yingst, out of breath, says he and his team took shelter after sirens went off, "then we heard a loud explosion rocking the ground next to us" and only "maybe 100 feet" away. "It appears there has been a direct impact. This was not intercepted...Something slipped passed Israel's missile defense system....Quite a lot of shrapnel in the area." He adds there appeared to be no casualties.
