Along the Sudanese-Chadian border, RSF fighters advanced into Karnoi in the early hours of Monday, establishing control in one of the last military-held areas in North Darfur. Doctors Without Borders said 123 wounded people crossed into Chad for treatment. Heavy fighting also struck the twin border towns of Tina, with RSF forces briefly seizing the Sudanese side on Tuesday before being driven back.

ISWAP released a video of the simultaneous attacks that targeted Nigerian military camps in Buratai, Maiduguri (Ajilari neighborhood) and Shiwari aka Mile 4 on the night between March 15 and 16.
Five Nigerian soldiers are seen killed in the video, as claims by ISWAP in their statement a few days back, the Nigerian army initially reported that there were only injuries during the attacks.

ISWAP released a statement claiming responsibility for the coordinated attacks that targeted Nigerian army camps and positions in Buratai, Shiwari (Mile 4 near Baga) and Maiduguri on the night between March 15 and 16. ISWAP terrorists reported to have stormed the Mile 4 military camp, killing five Nigerian soldiers "at least" and injured several others, and burned most of the camp along with four military vehicles. ISWAP also states that they stormed they Buratai military camp, burning two armored vehicles after Nigerian troops completely fled the camp without resistance. Simultaneously, the group claimed to have burned a position of the Nigerian military in the Ajilari Cross area in western Maiduguri, and to have captured a vehicle, the group also shelled the Auno camp and another camp in Maiduguri with mortars at the same time.
