Web Monetization keeps moving forward. 🌐 In May and June, the team expanded its publisher tools to make it easier to earn from online content while keeping the experience simple and privacy-conscious. The new Pay Per Article tool lets publishers place exclusive content behind a seamless paywall powered by Open Payments. Supporters pay once for permanent access, with their wallet address recognised automatically when they return. Publisher tools can now also provide anonymised usage insights, helping the team improve features based on real behaviour without compromising privacy. Updates also included tool improvements, browser extension fixes and a student-built Web Monetization use case for pay-as-you-use gym access. Link in comments to read the full update.

After running Rafiki Learning Month, Bibi Souza analysed what worked, what surprised her, and what the data revealed about supporting a mixed technical community. One key insight: the ILF community isn't one audience. Some members are ready to contribute to open source, while others are still building their understanding of Rafiki. Designing learning experiences means creating pathways for both.
