A horrifying attack on our Jewish community and all these racist dimwits can ask is why they have their own ambulances?! Not to condemn, not to say this is NOT ok but asking a daft irrelevant question. The Jewish community provide these ambulances to serve ALL help everyone regardless of ethnicity or religion. I would encourage you to re-read what I said. My previous comment had mentioned ‘ambulances/police’. The response said something about ‘not paid for by taxpayers’. I said true for the ambulance aside from some local grants here and there but not true for the ‘police’ as they’re getting 28.5m 26/27. Please google further details yourself. @PierreJouet @narindertweets The service was introduced specifically to help jewish people access healthcare and that’s why it operates within jewish communities only. Like I said in my original comment, I’m sure they would look after someone who wasn’t jewish but that’s not their purpose.

Also I don’t accept the claim that everyone can and does use them. I can’t find any stats on the matter, I’ve checked. But do you truly believe a significant amount of people who are not jewish call the jewish police/ambulance? It’s not like calling 999. They have to search for the number (which is full length local). They’d also have to be in a small jewish community, the ambulance/police does not operate outside of this.

Because the post claimed the ambulances were to serve all. This is not true. Accuracy is important. They were introduced to help jewish people access healthcare as they felt normal ambulances took too long (2 jewish people died while waiting) and they had language barriers (ambulance staff who couldn’t speak Yiddish).

Because they said they felt normal ambulances took too long and a jewish man had died of a heart attack while waiting for an ambulance. They also wanted a service which would understand kosher and Shabbat. These are the reasons it was founded. Apparently there are jewish hospital wards that they go to but I’m not sure if that is true, I haven’t looked into it as yet.
