@QueerCantHear @BSLterplife @SignVideo Apologies if our last tweet wasn’t clear. NHS119 via SignVideo is currently both VRS & VRI for COVID19 vaccines & Boosters. VRS being the making the call to NHS119 part, & VRI being using the app while attending your appointment to access an online BSL Interpreter.

Have any UK deafies successfully managed to book a terp for their COVID booster jab? If so, how/who are we supposed to contact to get a terp booked? I've so far found 0 information on this, so advice please 😂

@QueerCantHear @BSLterplife Hi all! Currently we are permitted to accept VRI calls via the NHS119 service on the @SignVideo app. This is not set up or advertised as a replacement service, there for should only be used after all efforts to book a F2F Interpreter have been exhausted. Thanks.

@BSLterplife @Interpreter_Now There's technically access 'tick boxes' on the NHS website booking page, but if you tick them, then no vaccination places come up (so can only book the booster if you remove access requests, ironically) Thanks, hopefully they can help!

Last night I tried to ring @nhs111 via @Interpreter_Now - each time got through to queue and then abruptly got cut off. Fortunately I was at my parents so my father could stand in but what if I was on my own?????? Pm for details of times etc for investigation purposes

@alexbrod @NHS Ive moved my 2nd vac fward by 4 weeks but s'ing people getting their first jab after and 2nd before me. i called via @Interpreter_Now to 119 to see if i cld move it fward more. got told they could phone me but i can't use phone as deaf. refused to take brother no as proxy...
