The Intramuros Administration pays tribute to the life and legacy of 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐋. 𝐅𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐧 (5 August 1947 – 22 March 2026). Arch. Faustmann served as a consultant to the Intramuros Administration during its formative years in the 1980s. A visionary in heritage conservation, he played a pivotal role in shaping key spaces within Intramuros, including Buildings 1–4 of the Plaza San Luis Complex, now home to the Casa Manila Museum. His contributions also extended to the dignified relocation and setting of the Gomburza Monument along Padre Burgos Drive. Through his work, he helped preserve and reimagine our built heritage, ensuring that the stories of Intramuros continue to endure for generations to come. His legacy lives on in the stones and stories of the Walled City, now experienced and cherished by millions of visitors.
