@AzureSupport @AzureSupport please can you update your status page to clearly say AFD is down…When are we likely to see some mitigations?? All of our services are dead at the moment and I really don’t want to have to mess around with our DNS to bypass front door….

Aspire isn’t just about the end result of deploying somewhere. It’s more than that, I see it as a developer tool that improves the whole dev experience. The Aspire packages (Client and Host integrations) make it super easy for everyone to add these services with all the resiliency, observably, etc out of the box. I think it helps to reduce the learning curve when onboarding as well. Now we’ve adopted it we have a couple of secrets to add to the AppHost and that’s it. The dashboard is super helpful as well for local development.

@davidfowl @IntrepidDev1988 I'm desperately trying to understand who or what Aspire is for. I used dotnet for 7 years, I know the ins and outs of Docker. Having to publish it to a docker compose is more confusing, not less. Is there a backend where Aspire just does the work itself and I self host?

If you have some free time bookmark this video. There’s a significant shift coming to software engineering. I’ve been playing with the coding agent and even though it’s very early, it’s very promising! youtu.be/CKAs9bRMDcQ?si… #agents #copilot #copilotagent
