@culjiking Ratiu would be 18 on the higher end and Vanderson and Fresenda are faster, and Dani Muñoz is way more technical and defensively astute... + Ratiu is this good this season, it could very well be a purple patch...

@ErlingRoIe Well a lot of players tried to press this trio... None managed to succeed at any where decent rate, so they stopped pressing... It's not just about the pace of the game but a realistic approach, teams preferred to cut their passing lanes than press them...

The pace football is played at today looks like 2x speed compared to a decade ago. You just don’t get that much time on the ball anymore

@NealGardner_ I recall watching him in 23-24 season's first ElClassico where we lost 2-1 and thinking damn he's way too good in this position... He was everywhere, cutting off all the passing lanes and till the moment he was on pitch that RM Midfield looked hampered to say the least...

I recall talking about Gavi when he had just broken into the XI, and what intrigued me the most about him was that I had absolutely no idea where his development was headed. I knew he was going to be an incredible footballer, but his template/skill-set was so ambiguous that I could see him being anything from an inverted winger to a DM. Think back to the Koeman days, and his stints out wide. But when I look at him now, post-injury, it’s becoming clear that he’s the near perfect player to compliment Pedri long term. He’s the chaos to Pedri’s calm, but he’s chaos in a sense that feels organised and meticulous. It’s not just intensity devoid of purpose, it’s disruption with intent - both on and off the ball. I refer to the Clasico, and how he pestered Jude to the extent of diminishing all his influence deeper back. And this, of course, is all while still being a fine La Masia-bred technician in possession.
