Still carrying the joy from the weekend, as our little K1 and K2 learners stepped up to graduate. Each one seen, celebrated, and appreciated for who they are becoming. Madhumita Kapoor, an English educator for our Middle and Senior School at the Whitefield–Sarjapur campus, embodies this spirit beautifully. After a flourishing career in advertising and marketing, Madhumita chose to pivot to education and joined Inventure’s Learning to Fly program, an initiative designed for professionals who want to learn to teach the Inventure way. The program challenges participants to continuously learn, unlearn and relearn not just subject knowledge, but the art of mentoring students and nurturing a genuine love for learning. Professional learning at Inventure is about equipping educators to navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of education with agility, curiosity and a commitment to constant upskilling. Over the past seven years, Madhumita has embraced every opportunity to grow. On National Science Day, learning moved beyond the classroom for our students as they spent an inspiring day at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Participating in a Science Quiz alongside 43 schools and finishing among the Top 6, the experience quickly became much more than a competition. Walking through the corridors where scientists work, observing real spaces of research and innovation, and listening to conversations around discovery gave our learners a rare glimpse into the world of space science. What made the day especially meaningful was the curiosity it sparked. In their reflections, students spoke about what surprised them, what they observed, and how the visit helped them connect concepts from the classroom to the extraordinary work happening at ISRO. Experiences like these stay with young minds. They remind learners that science is not just something studied in textbooks, it is a living, evolving field driven by questions, exploration, and the passion of scientists who continue to push the boundaries of what is possible. The Karnataka government is considering a ban on social media access for children under the age of sixteen. And educators are leaning in with their thoughts. Nooraine Fazal, Managing Trustee and CEO of Inventure Academy in Bengaluru, said governments must urgently respond to what she described as a "social media crisis among children." "Both the Karnataka government and the Union government should act quickly to prevent social media platforms from allowing users below 16 and simultaneously run large-scale awareness campaigns for parents and students. Many platforms are deliberately designed to be addictive through algorithmic feeds, endless scrolling and constant notification loops, which can significantly affect children's mental wellbeing. The goal should not be to keep children away from technology entirely. Instead, young people must be encouraged to develop digital literacy and judgement while using devices in safe, age-appropriate environments," Fazal said. Fazal also pointed to the responsibility of large technology companies, and said, "Big Tech has been deeply irresponsible in enabling the unchecked spread of these platforms among minors." In Search of Rain. A student led storytelling & puppetry workshop. We are proud to share a recent outreach initiative led entirely by students of GHPS Ramagondanahalli (RG Halli), our partner community school. As part of their learning journey, students from Grades 6 and 7 designed and facilitated a shadow puppetry workshop at BIC, Bengaluru. What made this especially meaningful was not just the theme — sustainability — but the leadership demonstrated by the students themselves. In a full public session, they guided participants through: Creating puppets using simple, reused materials Developing original stories centred on environmental responsibility Presenting these narratives through shadow theatre The workshop was a powerful example of experiential learning in action. It reflected confidence, collaboration, creativity, and a deep understanding of sustainable practices — all led by young facilitators who stepped into the role with clarity and purpose. At Inventure Academy, our partnership with GHPS Ramagondanahalli is rooted in the belief that access to meaningful learning opportunities builds agency. When students are given the space and freedom to create, learning becomes the outcome. In this project, a Grade 9 student shares a Lego auto, built together with his teammates, shaped through ideas, discussion, and hands-on experimentation. As he talks about what they made and how they worked through the process, it's clear that the real learning happened in collaborating, problem-solving, and trying things out together. More than building a model, the experience was about thinking through the challenges, adapting, and enjoying the journey as a team, making the process as meaningful as the result.
