After 8 months of building and 100+ consultations with LEC & ERL teams, I'm excited to finally share Tryouts! tryouts.gg | @tryoutsgg | discord.gg/tryouts Hundreds of LFT posts get lost on X timelines every off-season and countless hours are wasted chasing VODs, references, accounts or agent details. Tryouts streamlines the ERL off-season by aggregating information from the sites you're already familiar with and enabling players/staff to directly apply for roles, irrespective of their network. This project is still considered 'early access/beta' so any feedback, feature suggestions or support is greatly appreciated! 🩵

@Cubbyxx It's Spring 2022. There is local server solo queue with prize money and also mandated trainee teams. We still suck ass. (Just poking fun)

It’s 2026. Teams that practice with lower ping, have more ranked players on their server, and have multiple trainee teams in the building are beating teams who practice on higher ping, less players on the competitive server, and 1 team in the building. Fans are still surprised.

@forestwithout We saw this happen vs Baus in ERL/EMEA and it didn't work at all those times. You might need great fundamentals relative to your competition to do this (at that point do you feel like champ pool diff > your team's foundation?). I do think it should happen more often.

This guy is completely psychotic but I have given some srs thought abt these strategies of throwing a game to achieve better odds but maybe game 3/4 so more champs r removed so u can specifically target a deep pool adv None of the coaches I talked to were interested tho lmao

I wouldn't be surprised if this is because the studio lease is over. They likely overpay hard on production as a result of a legacy contract. Also the Berlin studio location is miserable, so overall this can be good if they find an affordable alternative instead of online only.
LCK_Charmander@LckCharmander

[Sources] G2 Co-Streamer Wadid has just said that all LEC games might be held online except for roadtrip games in 2027. Therefore, Berlin Studio may be not used from next year.

I decided to look over the major drag fight, pretty much the last chance fight for Witchcraft vs G2N and there is a lot to unpack prior since in all cases G2N should never have let it slip to an actual contest Witchcraft got multiple openings to take space and failed to see it
Brendan Schilling@Loyotalol

@niasw9 I decided to write an entire list of hindsight and improvements going into this drag contest that would have made it doable BUT I do cover what they can do despite it all There were several situations where they can take space They are not on the same page of how to do it

CLOL updates now that we're in playoffs time. Didn't do predictions for At-Large bids but I think it'll mostly be partner conference teams as most of the regional teams don't have good cases, outside of like OSU or UT if they lose.

Here's my conversation with Jeff Kaplan, a legendary Blizzard game designer of World of Warcraft and Overwatch, which are two of the biggest, most influential games ever made. Jeff is one of the most genuine & awesome human beings I've ever met: kind, thoughtful, hilarious, and still & forever a gamer through and through. This was a truly fun & inspiring conversation. We talk about it all: the lows, the highs, the memes, the details of the game design process, and the new game he's been secretely working on: The Legend of California. I got a chance to play the game with Jeff, and it's incredibly beautiful (and fun). You can wishlist it on Steam now. I can't wait to play it with all of you! Conversation is here on X in full and is up everywhere else (see comment). Watching an interview with the GM of the Chicago Blackhawks and there is a very valuable lesson within. In your career, your goal is to get into as many rooms of decision makers as possible. Your career is decided by how you conduct yourself once you get into those rooms. I think this is invaluable for anyone looking to work their way up in esports. Know that when you start your first job at a team or a school, that there is an entire operation happening. Listen, learn, and be thoughtful about when you share your opinions. You never ever want to be the person that everyone wishes they could restart the meeting without. This is how you effectively move up.
