Unaona mwenye bus anasema so far is God unafikiria 13k can do oil change for the two cars? Okay sawa. 13k kwa mfuko but itaenda yote kwa fuel na nyanya. At the end of the day, taking a stand for better systems is better than a goat eating feeds as the owner sharpens a knife.

I just took this photo from my window , this matatu and this bus are owned by the same person , if the matatu brings home Ksh4,000 & the bus Ksh.7000 , today the owner has made a loss of Ksh.13,000 , both the driver and the conductor earned nothing so again #RejectFuelPrices

IMO, fare inafaa kuwa a minimum of 300 any stage. That’s the only way everyone will join. These same people will not board a matatu wakingoja ishuke from 100 to 80bob. But see no problem ikipanda juu ya fuel.

Kenyan working class are a stupid lot. Matatus Owners are on strike bcoz they dont want to pass the burden to the commuter. Otherwise, they’d simply hike fare prices & operate normally. Yet instead of joining the protest, some people are waiting for matatus like nothing is wrong.

@Branicemercy Ah okay. I’m just saying it’s generally unhealthy. Labda alisema Down syndrome as a placeholder for whatever could go wrong, not literally.

@IoTDevMelvin Still none of these are risk factors for Down syndrome Passive smoking maybe a risk factor for other things but not Down syndrome.

Let’s separate the myths from the facts Down syndrome is caused by meiotic non disjunction of the sex chromosome… instead of two you end up with 3 sex chromosomes that’s why it’s aka trisomy 21 . There is no relationship between physical activity and non-disjunction during cell division . Physical activity is actually recommended in pregnancy with benefits to both mother and child with research indicating it improves placental circulation which actually supports overall fetal development. In summary moderate exercise as seen in this video is both very good for both mother and child . Let’s go back to Down syndrome . So what are the known risk factors ? Advanced maternal age ( clearly not the case here ) , increased paternal age also indicated in some studies , family history of chromosomal abnormalities , previous child with Down syndrome . Hope this is shades some light and bridges the gap in your knowledge 🙏

The best protest against this govt would be to just stay home. Zero activity. No chaos. No running battles. No goons.

Fuel is the backbone of movement, trade and access to services which keeps our economy active and fluid. When its price spikes, the effect is immediate. Transport costs rise. Food prices follow. Small businesses struggle to stay afloat. Essential services become harder to access. For ordinary Kenyans, this will be the daily reality of choosing between mobility, food and basic needs. The ongoing strike by the motorists’ association is a warning signal of the fragility of our economic stability amid high fuel costs. The nationwide transport strike is likely to disrupt supply chains, stall economic activity and paralyse urban and rural mobility alike. Workers are unable to reach their jobs. Goods will fail to reach markets. Emergency and essential services would face delays. The combined effect of high fuel prices and a transport shutdown risks pushing already strained households and businesses to the brink. This is how economic pressure quickly becomes a social crisis. I urge the Government to engage urgently and meaningfully with stakeholders in the transport and energy sectors. We need sustainable, transparent and accountable interventions that stabilise fuel prices and protect livelihoods. Failure to act will expose millions of Kenyans to deepening economic hardship and reduced access to essential services. #MatatuStrike
