Just a reminder that the museum reopens tomorrow to the public after its winter refit.

The museum will reopen on Sunday 29th March for the 2026 season. The following overview (pictured) outlines what visitors can expect from the upcoming programme of events!!

The museum sends heartfelt thanks to all our volunteers, patrons and sponsors for their incredible support this year. Wishing everyone a joyful Christmas filled with warmth and a very happy New Year ahead.

Enjoying that wonderful smell of steam on the dockside in Ipswich this afternoon as the Ransomes, Sims & Jeffries traction engines roll into town. My Mum’s Dad was a pattern moulder at RS&J, exempting him from military service in the FWW. Another great event by @IpsTransMuseum #TheRansomesReturn #Steam
