🚨 Details of the retreat of U.S. destroyers in the Strait of Hormuz:
According to credible information obtained by Press TV from a senior military official, the United States’ attempt yesterday to pass two destroyers, the Frank Peterson and the Michael Murphy, through the Strait of Hormuz turned into a failed propaganda operation.
The two destroyers reportedly attempted to deceive the IRGC Navy by using electronic #warfare and by switching off their Automatic Identification System (AIS).
They allegedly falsified their identity, presenting themselves as an #Omani commercial vessel supposedly conducting coastal navigation in the southern part of the Sea of Oman.
The destroyers also chose a very risky route close to the shoreline and through shallow waters, apparently relying on concealment, deception, and the hope that Iranian forces would be inattentive during the ceasefire in order to pass through and enter the #PersianGulf.
According to the report, the IRGC Navy grew suspicious of the two destroyers near the port of Fujairah in the Sea of Oman. After further technical monitoring and surveillance, vessels were #dispatched to investigate. The vessels identified the destroyers near the entrance of the Persian Gulf and moved to stop them.
The destroyer #FrankPeterson initially attempted to continue its course, but soon detected that cruise missiles had locked onto it via radar and it was #intercepted by IRGC vessels. At the same time, IRGC drones flew over the two destroyers. The Peterson then reportedly received a message on the international Channel 16 stating that it had 30 minutes to turn back and leave the area or face being #targeted by Iran’s armed forces.
As the destroyer insisted on continuing its route, a final warning was issued, with the vessel reportedly only minutes away from being destroyed.
Simultaneously, the IRGC Navy warned all vessels in the area to keep at least 10 miles away from the destroyers because they were targets of IRGC naval fire.
Ultimately, both destroyers were forced to retreat at the entrance of the Persian Gulf, in the waters of the Sea of Oman, without being able to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

If the Arab countries bordering the Persian Gulf pay for it, Iranian engineers will do it!

This might be a stupid question but why don’t they just dig a new route?
