Statement on the Condemnation of the Crimes of the #ZionistRegime and the Forced #Displacement of #Gaza Residents The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns the Zionist regime’s decision to evacuate the city of Gaza and forcibly displace its defenseless inhabitants and displaced persons for a second time, and underscores the responsibility of the international community and Islamic countries to confront this appalling war crime. The occupying regime’s decision to forcibly transfer the residents of Gaza City—who have endured the most intense bombardments for nearly two years and have, over the past five months, suffered hunger systematically imposed by the occupier—is a flagrant instance of war crimes and crimes against humanity. This policy is but a calculated step toward completing the project of genocide and the erasure of Palestine as a nation and a national identity. Without doubt, this decision is the direct product of the entrenched impunity granted to the criminal leaders of the Zionist regime—impunity which itself stems from the comprehensive military and political support extended by the United States and certain European countries, as well as the obstruction of any meaningful action by the United Nations Security Council and international judicial bodies to hold the perpetrators accountable. The coincidence of this crime—the forced displacement of Gaza’s population, intended to obliterate the Palestinian national identity and complete the genocidal plan in this strip—with the brazen and highly dangerous remarks of the Zionist regime’s Prime Minister regarding his ambition to realize the idea of a “Greater Israel,” which encompasses vast portions of Arab-Islamic territories, lays bare the expansionist and hegemonic nature of the occupying regime and the grave threat it poses to regional and global peace and security. The Islamic Republic of Iran, while warning against the Zionist regime’s conspiracy to escalate killings and commit further atrocities under the pretext of relocating the population of Gaza to the south of the Strip, emphasizes the urgent necessity for immediate action by the international community—particularly Islamic nations—to halt the ongoing war-mongering and genocide against the Palestinian people.
