Sometimes a bout of depression just hits ya. Lately I've been trying to be more active in the hope it improves my lung function & normally when I get depressed I'd just stay on the sofa or go to bed. However tonight I decided to go for a walk. Definitely feel the better for it 🙂

What happens when 999 ignore your calls 3 times in the space of 2 hours. Last night we lost the entire south facing ridge in the Glen, Cork City. It’s all gone. The area of two football pitches scorched. Wren chicks no doubt burned alive, lizard population decimated.

Update: lads setting fire to the gorse still in park on scramblers. Garda emergency told me ‘it isn’t a priority for us’ & ‘we’ve been getting calls all day about the gorse’. I said again there’s lads with Powerade bottles full of petrol & lighters running around a public park!?!
