@nuhre_ Accurate enough for what it needed to be. The idea that the world could've had more mystery or whatever is a strange desire, imo, the world had history and many people trying to find the truth, as well as agents of the past already existing to bring it back. This wasn't VG's bad.

Reducing every major plot line and plot point in Dragon Age to “the elves did it” is such a lazy, flattening move. The Maker? Either absent or irrelevant—because now everything traces back to the Evanuris. Andraste? Reinterpreted through Mythal and vessels like Flemeth. The taint? Tied to ancient elven actions and the consequences of Solas creating the Veil. The Old Gods? Corrupted dragons, tools, and casualties of a conflict that—again—leads back to the elves. The Veil? Created by Solas, which literally reshaped reality and broke the world. The Evanuris? Not gods, just powerful elves who enslaved their own people and have become the very threats the world now fears. The Blights? No longer a cosmic mystery—just fallout from ancient elven hubris and whatever the Magisters stumbled into. Even the Fade, spirits, and demons start to feel less like their own thing and more like side effects of one elven catastrophe. You had a setting where: • humans had their own religion and the mystery of the Maker • dwarves had Titans, lyrium, and the Deep Roads • the Old Gods and Archdemons were this ancient, terrifying unknown • the Qunari had completely separate origins and philosophy All of that ambiguity made Thedas feel massive. Now everything loops back to the same source, and it makes the world feel smaller, not deeper. And then the narrative still expects you to center the elves as the primary victims in all of this, when the same lore keeps pointing to them as the root of half the world’s problems. I’m sorry, but you can’t have it both ways.

@r_m_music84 @evanescence @WillFnHunt Hm. I'll need to relisten for that 15/8, but it's possible it's just another 7/8 into the 4/4 or 8/8. I'm leaning heavily on it being 8/8 cause that the chorus fits better in a 1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2 with its pace rather than 4/4's 1&2&3&4. Unless they're just using triplets.... ahhh😫

@Irexmaed @evanescence @WillFnHunt Yes! Definitely agree! The first 7/8 is the electronic parts right before the bass sub drop. So I count that as the first 7/8, then 3 more after that, then count 15/8 back into 4/4.

Ok for all the music nerds out there (like me!) - @evanescence’s song Who Will You Follow has a striking time signature change right before the bridge (ahh’s)…I’m counting 4 measure of 7/8 and one measure if 15/8 before back to 4/4…? Thoughts? @WillFnHunt?
