Last springs application of feed sat barely weathered in due to dry weather, so this year I’ve gone earlier to ensure it gets some rain after it! I hope the irises will actually benefit from it this way! #fieldgrown #beardedirises #britishgrown #plantnursery #plantfood

We grow almost all our stock plants in large pots so we can bring them upto bench height to propagate them. At the moment we are focusing on roots and shoots beneath the soil with these helianthus! #horticulture #propagation #peatfree #gardening #plantnursery

@utterly_country We do too, that’s the best thing to do really. We don’t remove enough of the moss off them here due to time but anything will help I always think! 🤞

@IrisesSeagate I always have issues with moss growing over the rhizomes in winter. I try to remove this by hand once spring comes so they get adequate sun.

Cut, comb and blow for the iris beds to get rid of excess weed growth and dead leaves around the plants, this gives them the space to get going as they begin to push on now! Spring is on its way! #beardedirises #plantgrower #plantnursery #britishgrown #horticultural #gardening
