I’m just saying with their weak schedule they have a legit shot at going undefeated and 12-0 ND would be ranked the top team in the country or near it.

For what it’s worth, I asked Pete Bevacqua at ACC meetings about upcoming big opponents like Texas and Alabama. He said he fully expects those games to be played.

Probably why Kirby, Saban and others in the SEC keep harping on the depth changes over the 5-10 years ago. When they had depth, they could better withstand the season-long beating, which just made them battle tested w/out the tradeoff of being more beat up w/limited depth that’s *ready* to contribute.
Would be worth looking into, but it’s theoretically possible that both statements are/were true.
