On Friday, President of Ireland Catherine Connolly @PresidentIRL hosted a commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the Chornobyl disaster. It was wonderful to meet so many survivors from Belarus & Ukraine, Chornobyl Children Ireland volunteers, & ever inspiring Adi Roche & team.

Today we mark the 40th anniversary of the Chornobyl disaster that had devastating consequences for thousands of people across the region. In Vilnius, the Embassy 🇮🇪 participated in a flower laying ceremony at the Chornobyl Mother monument in Sapieha Park.
