The self-described philosopher is angry people held a rally in Belfast to empathise with families targeted by racist thugs.

@Cheesewright3 @LordWeirDUP Is there any reason why you are a follower of a convicted paedophile? Is it because he puts the boot into Irish republicans? Do you prefer paedophiles to republicans?

@LordWeirDUP An increasingly prevalent view among a strata of society that wouldn't have justified sectarian terrorism when it was happening.

As one dimensional people like Emma, Feeney, Donnelly et al get increasingly indulged by the media (even when they have nothing new to say) it makes it much easier for their played out, tribal & fundamentally sectarian approach to connect with younger people. Very dangerous 1/2

"Violence did not arrive in Northern Ireland on a boat of migrants, but through British colonialism that incited civil war and the partitioning of Ireland, leaving behind a legacy of sectarianism and a society scarred by conflict." ✍️ @EmmaCDeSouza bylinetimes.com/2026/06/12/nor…

Of all the dumb takes on this week's riots in Belfast, this insane rant from Fox News host Brian Kilmeade takes the biscuit. It's always impressive when someone can be so loud, so confident, and so spectacularly wrong all at once. What an utter balloon.

@DavidGHFrost @Telegraph No Englishman will ever again dictate to an Irishman where I can travel on my island. Those days are gone. Ireland's border is the sea.

Tell me you don’t understand Irish history and geography in one tweet. There will never be a land border here again. Belfast isn’t Finchley, David. And it was you and your entitled pals who delivered the disastrous self harm Brexit so I’m afraid you just have to deal with it.
David Frost@DavidGHFrost

Why does it seem that the only land border in the whole of Europe that can’t be policed is the land border on the island of Ireland? My @Telegraph column today on the weaknesses of the UK / Ireland Common Travel Area. telegraph.co.uk/gift/94f295083…

Here’s the thing about GB News. Before it launched, anyone who said it’d be like this was accused of scaremongering. “Our broadcasting rules won’t allow a Fox News in this country!” Yet it’s become an open sewer of conspiratorial bile

This is good, useful analysis of the riots in Belfast this week. Thankfully things are quiet this evening, but the likes of @kilmeade may want to watch this before sharing ill-informed crap to an American TV audience in the future

Once or twice a year the English remember Northern Ireland exists and show support for their oppressed Unionist brothers by calling them all Irish.
