We had panels on Property management, Sustainable real estate finance/ Mortgage, affordable housing & expropriation, during which speakers & participants discussed the latest trends in these particular areas & shared experiences from their respective countries. #AfRES_EA2023

We had an exciting panel on Valuation & Artificial Intelligence during which panelists discussed how AI is having an impact on the property & real estate industry, particularly when it comes to assessing the value & determining the price of the assets. #AfRES_EA2023

Mr. @CharlesHaba, CEO @CenturyRwanda, extensively talked about trends in property management & how tech has improved efficiency in management & is cost effective but reiterated that ICT & AI are not going to take people's jobs but rather enhance operations. #AfRES_EA2023

The session on "Property management" featured a keynote speech by Dr. Rachael Daisy Mirembe from @Makerere University/GIPS, who was on the panel with Jean Claude Nsabimana, Creativo Real Estate Ltd, @CharlesHaba, @CenturyRwanda & Egide Gatsirombo, @Baobabrealty. #AfRES_EA2023

The first topic of the day focused on "Valuation & Artificial Intelligence", with a keynote address by Rhona Nyakulama Butare, a land governance & urban development expert, who extensively discussed the influence of #ICT/AI on the property industry & future trends. #AfRES_EA2023

A 2 day African Real Estate Society (AfRES) East African Chapter Conference kicked off today in Kigali with the theme: "The next generation of real estate in East Africa: The effect of ICT".

Welcoming the delegates, Mr. @BMunyabugingo, the #AfRES_EA2023 Conference Convener, said that experts share the goal of stepping ahead together: “From all corners of the real estate sector here we are to discuss challenges and opportunities in embracing the Information Technology practices in the sector.”
