@cami_bandita also, after separating myself more from social situations i found that i really do prefer quieter time with a small group of friends (maybe even a 1 on 1 chat). I’m not a huge fan of lots of social interactions :)

anybody know any covid cautious teens in the UK? (~18yo)
i was most social in my mid-late teens and it primed me to be a social butterfly in my early 20s (not always to my benefit, fwiw)
at that age, knowing how it is for me at 34, must be horribly isolating.

🧵I’ve been covid cautious for 5 years now (2 yrs of which I’ve had Long Covid). I don’t know anyone else my age in the UK who is Covid cautious & people always just assume ‘my mum is making me’ but I do this for myself and for others. It’s my choice and it’s a good choice.

My mom went to get a haircut and the person cutting her hair kept forgetting what she was doing and apparently they were all super sick. Idk if she should mask at home because she already wore a good mask with tape to face seal it better

People from my college who have never seen my full face bcs I don't unmask near them saw some self portraits I took and told me to stop hiding my pretty face under a mask. Like no shit sherlock I am wearing masks because we are in an active pandemic not because of looks tf.

I'm honestly so tired of having to justify why I'm still masking. I was having a casual phone call with a family member when they asked if I was still masking. Like are you waiting for me to stop? 💀 If nothing changes, my masking habits won't either.
