There are reports that Canal+ plans to reduce prices for DStv and GOtv. My fellow Kenyans, if those prices are not reduced significantly, we must ask serious questions. Look at the current prices for the same content: DStv Compact Nigeria ~KSh 1,700 South Africa ~KSh 3,000 Kenya ~KSh 4,200 GOtv Supa+ Nigeria ~KSh 1,500 South Africa ~KSh 2,200 Kenya ~KSh 3,200 Same channels. Same football. Same movies. My Kenyan brothers and sisters, do you see the problem? We are paying the highest price for the same programs, often repeats, and movies from decades ago. If prices are not brought closer to what other countries pay, DStv should understand something: Sooner or later, many Kenyans will move to streaming instead. Enough is enough. Kenyan consumers also deserve fair pricing.
