One major drawback of DNA force sensors is their super short lifetime—making them rather unsuitable for most bio studies. Huge congrats (and thanks) to @IsaacLiLab for solving one more problem for the field! Looks like it’s time to image some integrin forces 😎

Our work on Altering Cell Junctional Tension in Spheroids through E-Cadherin Engagement Modulation just got published! We showed that E-cad tension can be monitored and modulated using membrane-anchored DNA probes and strand-displacement reactions! pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…
