It’s Official! Thank You, Lord!
I’m beyond excited to share that I have officially graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University with a First Class Honours Degree in Agricultural and Environmental Engineering! Alongside this achievement, I’m humbled to have earned the following distinctions:
🎖️ Best Graduating Student in the Faculty of Technology with the Highest CGPA (4.89/5.0)
🎖️ Best Graduating Student in the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Engineering
I’m also grateful to have been awarded 8 Academic Prizes, including:
🎖️ 4 Faculty Prizes as the Best Graduating Student in the Faculty
🎖️ 3 Departmental Prizes as the Best Graduating Student
🎖️ 1 Departmental Prize as the Best Graduating Student in Crop Processing and Storage
As proud as I am of these accomplishments, it’s important to reflect on the journey that brought me here. Behind every success story, there are setbacks and disappointments. I’ve come to truly understand the saying, “Delay is not Denial.” Eleven years ago, I had a clear vision of how my academic journey would unfold. However, life had other plans for me. I spent many years watching others advance while I stood still, but God’s timing was perfect.
Through my experiences, I learned some invaluable lessons that shaped my path:
1.Compromise: I learned that life doesn’t always go according to plan, and that’s okay. Being flexible and adapting to new circumstances allowed me to grow.
2.Resilience: I discovered my ability to bounce back from setbacks, to start over, and to keep going when things seemed uncertain.
3.Sacrifice: I learned the importance of giving up short-term pleasures for long-term goals.
4.Perseverance: I realized that success is built through consistent effort, day after day, despite challenges.
5.Excellence: I adopted the mindset that if I’m going to do something, I must do it well—nothing less. For me, that meant pushing myself to be the very best I could be.
I owe a massive thank you to God Almighty, Obafemi Awolowo University, my family, friends, and everyone who supported me along the way. This is just the beginning, and I’m excited to continue striving for excellence and making a positive impact on the world.
