This is a total disgrace. An attack on a mosque is an attack on all of us. Any attack on a place of worship - mosque, shul or anywhere - is an attack on British liberal democracy itself. All must be protected equally. That is the point. And the government has to crack down on extremism at both extremes

My husband and I were driving from Dewsbury to Wakefield today and saw an old asian man struggling to walk up a steep hill. He was being helped by a young white English lady at the side of the road. We stopped to assist and were told the asian man had collapsed because of the heat and strain of the walk up the hill. The young lady had called her husband to drive out to pick the man up and take him safely home. We stepped in and said we would drive the man home which we did and made sure he was settled before we left. Just a normal day in Dewsbury where communities look out for each other whatever their race, religion or background. Despite all the poison some politicians, think tanks and media commentators seem to spout on a daily basis the beating heart of my country is decent, inclusive and tolerant and cares for its communities ❤️🇬🇧

@BreastDocUK Is it so hard to run trials that have parallel studies on ways to improve QoL alongside cancer treatment? Isn’t it a good idea to manage real-world QoL impacts better, which may mean increasing ability to tolerate/complete treatment & therefore (potentially) benefit survival?

“QOL appears both underevaluated & underreported; furthermore, the majority of phase 3 QOL analyses are unadjusted for baseline scores, which lose efficiency & add bias...” 🧐 I mean… All that money, all that patient involvement… But who cares about quality of life hey 🤷

The lack of self awareness or contrition from @EnvAgency is just gobsmacking. Formed in 1995 the EA has a primary legal duty to protect and safeguard this nation's salmon stocks. That's their job. A year after it was established 17,444 salmon were caught in England and Wales, that has now collapsed to just 5,188 to the point that the whole UK population of salmon has now been placed on the endangered species list along with rhinos, tigers and gorillas. And yet here they are trying to pretend that it has nothing whatsoever to do with them, no responsibility, no accountability, no recognition just another meaningless, pointless, worthless report. Job well done then eh?!

I still think represents the most shocking void in the UK’s COVID response - when the largest biomedical facility offered to undertake testing (many universities did the same) the government didn’t even answer. The cost would have been minimal. Was it really that no-one would have made a profit from this? It could haves saved countless lives.
