I’ve seen people criticize Matt Cardona for coming back as Zack Ryder instead of using his real name, but then you see Cardona himself absolutely thrilled about his return and talking about how he’s waited over five years for this moment. Whether this is a one time thing or something long term, WWE clearly went for the shock value of bringing back "Zack Ryder". If he sticks around, I’m sure he’ll eventually be Matt Cardona with a fresh character. But the most important thing is that the wrestler himself was happy with how it played out, so who are we to say what’s right or wrong about it?
