While i think Trent shouldn’t have been dropped, i understand Tuchel’s decision. He is not influenced by dishonest conversations where players are praised for what should normally be additional attributes, instead of main attributes. As a defender, your main attribute shouldn’t be chance creation and long balls, you MUST know how to actually defend. It’s why i respect coaches like Mourinho and Pep, they’d only ever instruct their attackers to overly defend if they are not scoring enough. Hope this helps 😘.
