@Justacarehomeg1 I do my service improvement plan every January, and every year I have to carry some things over 🙈 I love to be able to see the great achievements we make throughout the year, but I also put too much pressure on myself to get it all done - and subsequently fail 😭

My worst thing is trying to put timeframes on improvement plans... I really do get all bamboozled trying to prioritise and nearly always end up expecting myself to have it all done in a month 🤣 Note to self - it's a yearly development ment plan for a reason 🗓️

@Justacarehomeg1 @drphiliplee1 So where I live (Aberdeenshire), my husbands family (rural farmers) say ‘half 9’ and that apparently means 8:30 🤯 as it’s half an hour until 9 - this drives me crazy!!!

@drphiliplee1 The back of 9 would be anytime between 9 and about 9.15! My hubby hates the term, it's normal for me (west coast Scot)

Literally the simplest actions - ask anyone to walk anywhere they choose and stop, look and listen - then jot down what they saw, how they felt. It gives us different perspectives for improvement as well as reasons to be thankful. Simple template, easy to use by all.

We tried our new spot check tool with a resident tonight. Let's not tell people what to look for, let's get real opinions on #carehomelife from observing random moments in random places and let's involve everyone in the home. #stoplooklisten #whatmatters

As someone who works in social care, I’d like to confirm this is bollocks. Social care is not the governments priority, unblocking hospital beds is. We have thousands of job vacancies, poor pay rates, a unfit regulator and I could go on! p.s @RishiSunak we have qualifications!
