You ignore the role of wars, sanctions and foreign intervention in holding back many Muslim countries. For decades, powerful nations have intervened in the Middle East for strategic and economic interests, including oil. Despite that, Muslim scientists and engineers continue to contribute to technology, medicine and innovation worldwide. And despite the stereotypes, the overwhelming majority of Muslims are peace-loving people. We don't seek conflict, we resist occupation and aggression when it comes to our lands.
