The virtues of fasting six days in Shawwāl after fasting the entire month of Ramadhan, among others, the reward of each day is ten fold. Allāh the Almighty said: "Whoever comes with a good deed will have ten times its reward". The prophet ﷺ enjoined us to look forward to Laylat ul-Qadri in the last ten days of Ramaḍān and to supplicate: "اللهم إنك عفو تحب العفو فاعف عني" "Allhahumma innaka afuwwun tuhibbul'afwa fa'afu anni" "O Allāh, You are Forgiving and love forgiveness, so forgive me".
