Have a message to all of you that are constantly putting HS athletics down. For 93% of kids that are involved in HS Athletics it’s not about being recruited for college. It’s about being a part of something bigger than yourself. It’s about having pride in the uniform and representing your peers and community. It’s about finding a family in perhaps the toughest time in your young life. It’s about fitting in. For me, it was a life changer. It made me focus on school, be committed to something and have an a group of guys that have been my family for 40+ years. Please stop trying to pit HS vs club. It’s petty and stupid. Lastly, for the hundreds of thousands of kids that participate in high school sports because it’s affordable good for you. Keep doing you. It’s not always about being recruited. It’s about developing friendships and playing for the love of the game.
