#Isles #BornInBridgeport Bridgeport Islanders forward Eetu Liukas has signed with HIFK of the Finnish Liiga. Liukas was an RFA this summer after putting up 4G-6A-10P in 24 games. The former fifth-round pick was sidelined with an upper-body injury since January.

#Isles #BornInBridgeport I’ve made my feelings known about who should be the next head coach in Hamilton, so I’ll leave you with this: this is far from the only time Cunniff’s name has come up in conversations with players, but here’s what Marshall Warren had to say about him. “Coach Cunny’s been great. He’s helped in all aspects, but definitely on defensive positioning and focusing on being in the right spot at the right time, playing fast — that’s the stuff he preaches. For me, he’s been great. He’s always a positive guy, and it’s nice to have that balance on the bench so you can talk to him whenever you want. That’s what you want in a coach. He’s been so instrumental in my career so far. We’re all on the same page, and he does a good job helping us stay that way. All great things.”
