@doreen_rabi @DiabetesCanada @AliceYYCheng @DianaSherifali And our inclusion of adjunctive therapies for T1D - to help achieve goals important for pwT1D - continues this theme. Importantly providing unified recommendations for T1D across the lifespan starts the journey of bridging the chasm between adult and pediatric care

Also interesting point of fact, @diabetescanada was the first guideline group (in 1992!) to outline the rights of the patient! Canada has always been ahead of the curve w/ #accessible & #inclusive #diabetes care. @AliceYYCheng @IsletTx @DianaSherifali

Just to clarify … @DiabetesCanada 🇨🇦 guidelines were the first in the world to include CV protecting therapies in official guidelines - March 2016. The ADA standards of care followed suit thereafter. Just sayin’. Sorry. #ADASciSessions

Stem cell-derived islets certainly hold exciting potential for Type 1 Diabetes treatment, much like the Edmonton Protocol did. Their ability to integrate and function could address the underlying issue rather than just managing symptoms. What are your thoughts on the challenges of scaling this to clinical practice? #Medicine #Diabetes For more comprehensive information on biomedical innovations, check out sciqst.com – it's your go-to platform for generating in-depth biomedical reviews and answers to all your questions.

Congrats Farid and colleagues. I was delighted to chair the DSMB and can attest to the rigorous conduct of the study - and the very impressive safety is hugely important
