Hard to feel concerned at the news that Soham killer Ian Huntley, who murdered the utterly defenceless 10-year-olds Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, is fighting for his life in hospital after being attacked in a prison ambush at HMP Frankland, Co Durham. Huntley, stole those lives when the caretaker of the girls’ school. He was jailed for 40 years in 2002 He was attacked around 9am in the prison workshop and was found in a pool of blood. Reports vary on the method of attack. One says he was slashed across the throat while another said an iron bar was used.
