Level of football fan: Level 1 — You rate the players in form, if they drop out of form it’s likely due to external factors permitting. Hate on dudes who can foresee further than the immediate term of results/form as “edgy”, or attention seeking. Level 2 — You follow the NNT hemisphere of analysis. Duelist, duelist, duelist! Analysis centered around PnP, you’ll defend yourself by saying stuff like physical mechanics determine technical ability, in reality that’s all fluff and not applicable to what actually happens on the pitch. Hasn’t understood the importance of tempo/rhythm control, which is the true enabler of elite players, physicality (as seen by Cherki) is downstream from this ability, not upstream at this level. Also likely to not fully conceptualize how there can be great players who won’t be universally great in the most elite, dominant style of play, examples Rice, Bellingham as a midfielder to a lesser extent. Understand the importance of dynamics in a team however place more importance on traditional or more socially accepted attributes by mainstream media punditry from clueless ex-players/failed managers than what’s actually more important. These guys will have Pep in their pfp despite all of these clear contradictions. Level 3 — The Gods. Understand different styles of play and how individual players intersect with differing styles of play in order to be maximized. Understand different player profiles and which ones are actually compatible within the most dominant systems, so they’ll (rightly) prefer “lesser” players with less individual brilliance that actually align with the greater good of an elite system, as football is a team sport ultimately. Thank you for reading.

Personally, I would love to see this starting XI next season. You could not press this team under any circumstances and have Garnacho/Pedro/Estevao running into open spaces caused by the press resistance/progressive aptitude of the rest of the team.

Cole Palmer has not provided a single goal or assist in his last 10 games for Chelsea, despite playing 763 mins. Failure to be involved in a goal in the FA Cup final – if selected – would mean it’ll be his longest run without a goal involvement in his club career (11 games).

I'm not sure on the LB. Barco definitely profiles as a midfielder, but just didn't want Cucurella in there and it seems Barco's signing.

You don't have to be a tall team to be capable at attacking and defending set-pieces well either, look at City's centurions. LOOK AT PSG. When will people realize it ain't that much of a big deal if you actually want to play the most dominant style of football? You have to align your transfer policy with the overarhcing style of the team you want to build, which requires valuing certain attributes/skillsets above others. As for the others, I think Xabi would like Mamadou Sarr. Clocked he's a fantastic progressive passer, Ligue 1 numbers were made to look poor because of the way Rosenior's system is (short distances), but he also has killer vision and eye for line-breakers, pass-selection is great, and he's very secure. Can grow physically, he's got an amazing stature. I think he's like a similar level talent to Colwill but slightly higher given he has better defensive IQ/pass-selection. Colwill is a weird profile player because he grew up playing LB, then had a growth spurt and has become a CB without a CB's mind. Hato's better than Colwill LCB. Obviously this is my ideal XI. Colwill/Palmer/Cucurella and co could all be in. But wow, with only Europa schedule... a man can dream.

@KColeinhiding Wharton’s pass accuracy is sub 80% lmao. That is absolutely diabolical for any player let alone one that likes to get on the ball in deeper areas Enzo’s much better than that.

@IsolatedPlay_ i get that (probably the biggest reasons ive never been big on enzo) but ive never seen wharton as a high volume hoofer. i think hes efficient compared to the modern key pass merchant. he lacks tempo control and carrying ability, and is not what we need i agree with that.

@KColeinhiding Meh kinda spams it too much for my liking. Dislike DLP’s in general like that, the ones that don’t understand pausa and tempo control. Trent’s including in this nasty, nasty bracket. Would do well for a Newcastle/Klopp Liverpool side.

Why are the fans in such hysteria lmao. Have you even thought how dumb this approach would even be? It would only weaken their position amongst the fanbase if it was all a red herring. They’re not that dumb I promise you nor is it ever that sophisticated.
Johyan@JohyanCruyff

I can’t shake this awful feeling that we won’t get (or at the very least aren’t close to getting) Alonso & their using this PR to reduce the noise from the protests It wouldn’t be the first time they’ve lied, & we know they love to go overboard with PR moves

You guys, most of you, are little bitches that would not last in any highly competitive environment. Look at how your judgement wanes based on your mood shifts depending on external, short-term outcomes. You should only listen to me when it comes to analysis on the Chels.
